OBJECTIVES:

  • Inform about the progress of the most important Biofuels programs existing in Latin America, the Caribbean and the world with respect to public policies, institutionalism, regulations, agricultural products, adequate land-use, technical specifications, standards, quality control and economic aspects.
  • Introduce the new ongoing technologies and the position of all international players involved in the sustainability of socio-environmental programmes for food and energy supply without impacting food security and the environment.
  • Train staff of public and private entities including universities and research institutes on the management of the entire chain of biofuels production and usage.
