DIRECTIVE COMMITTEE

It is the direction, follow up, analysis and evaluation body that analyzes the programs and strategy of the Organization. It is composed by a President and by Delegates of the eight Member States of OLADE that have been elected as members by the Meeting of Ministers.

The Committee is now made up of the following countries: Argentina as the Chair, Brazil, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Venezuela as Members of the Committee.

Prior to the Ministers' Meeting, its main duties are the review and recommendations of: work plans, budgets, contributions of the Member States, activity reports, balance sheets and financial statements,  selection of the external audit firm and its corresponding reports, request of countries interested in becoming a Participant Country  as well as projects to reform the norms and Regulations of the Organization.

It approves the Organization structure and personnel of the Permanent Secretariat. It knows in advance, gives opinion and approves the programs and projects of the Organization, the negotiation of international cooperation agreements and loans, amounting more than 25% of the annual budget. It knows and gives opinion about the official missions of the Permanent Secretariat officers.

Ordinary meetings are held three times a year and extraordinary meetings are held when circumstances call for it.   A virtual meeting can be convened in exceptional circumstances.
