COMPETITION IN ENERGY MARKETS

This is part of the Sustainable Energy Program being developed jointly with the University of Calgary with funding from the Canadian Government through the Canadian International Development Agency.

The project should review energy market operations in the region and document lessons learned, so that they will be useful for all Member Countries. The first phase will present an overall panorama of the sector status and its organization in all countries of the region.

This regional overview will be the basis for the second phase, during which four case studies will be carried out to examine in detail the experience of those countries and obtain the lessons learned in the region.
