THE LATIN AMERICAN CARBON FORUM WILL GATHER INVOLVED AGENTS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECTS FOR CLEAN DEVELOPMENT MECHANISM
The fourth edition of the Latin American Carbon Forum will gather all the actors of the carbon market, project developers and owners, representatives from National offices of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), international organizations and investment promotion agencies, executive bodies of the CDM, broker companies in the carbon market and Utilities service companies, event that will take place in Panama City, from June 24 to June, 2009.
This event, considered as a unique regional platform brings together the various actors involved in the Carbon Market, who will have the opportunity to upgrade matters related to climate change, CDM and carbon market, and identify business opportunities and establish a contact´s network .
Throughout the Forum updated information will be provided related to the latest developments in the global carbon market and to the international negotiations on a future climate protection regime. It will be opened a space for discussion and dialogue with practitioners and experts who search to set new directions in strategies and measures to capture and reduce carbon emissions through the CDM.
Moreover, it is intended to share knowledge on the projects of independent specialists on best practices and lessons learned from the implementation of CDM projects in Latin America and take advantage of the many business opportunities that will be opened all along the Forum.
The Latin American Carbon Forum is place where it can be exchangd knowledge and organized information among the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and the World Bank Institute (WBI) with assistance of the National Environmental Authority of Panama (ANAM).
