Reducing the Environmental Impacts of Thermoelectric Plants
This project is part of the ENERGIE Subprogram, with funding from the European Comission, and is managed by a group of European institutions. This project started in 2004 and has 14-year duration.
The European institutions that are responsible for this project are the following: Center for Energy, Environmental, and Technological Research (CIEMAT), which coordinated the activities; Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH – Deutsche Research Center- (FZJ), managing the Project; Deutsche Montan Technologie (DMT); European Boiler Association (EBA); Gray Associates; VGB PowerTech and Future Energy Solutions.
This project reviews the thermoelectric generation situation in Latin America and the Caribbean, as to identify the possibility of incorporating new technologies in Thermoelectric Plants of the Region in order to reduce pollutant emissions.
